FIREFLY - illuminating the way

Firefly is a product that I developed in roughly 6 weeks for one of my product design classes at Academy of Art University.  The focus of my project was to design a universal illuminating device for the active.  I really improved on concept sketching, conceptual model making, and research development while working on this model.  I also learned about rendering by using a program called Key Shot.  The final project was 3D printed and fully functional with two integrated LED lights and a working button.  The two thin LED panels that slide off the main body are also functional and can clip on to clothing.  Overall, I would say that my product design  skills and visual aids improved quite a bit thanks to my Product Design class from Academy of Art University.

Below are rendered models of the project. (left to right:)
